As Breast Cancer Awareness Month approaches, we are proud to share that throughout October, South Coast Radiology will donate $5 for every diagnostic mammogram performed at our clinics to the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF).

Breast cancer remains the most commonly diagnosed cancer among women in Australia, with over 20,000 women expected to be diagnosed this year. In fact, 1 in 7 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime.

Our partnership with the NBCF is close to our hearts. By supporting their world-class research projects, our donations will help advance the understanding of risk factors, develop innovative treatments, and improve the lives of those affected by breast cancer. Together, we are working toward better treatment outcomes and, ultimately, saving more lives.

Since its inception in 1994, the NBCF has contributed to a 43% reduction in breast cancer mortality rates, thanks to breakthroughs in prevention, early detection and treatment. However, the journey isn’t over. With NBCF’s vision of achieving zero deaths from breast cancer, every contribution counts.
